Hungary's National Bureau for Investigation announced Wednesday police arrested a 19-year-old man who was manufacturing Molotov cocktails in his downtown Budapest apartment, the Hungarian news agency MTI reported. On his arrest Tuesday afternoon, the man told authorities he had been preparing the gasoline bombs to use against police during National Day, marking the March 15, 1848 anniversary of the Hungarian revolt against Austrian rule. Police found evidence during a search of the man's apartment indicating he was a member of a far right-wing group, the bureau said. In another action, a 35-year-old man was arrested after a tip he had a cache of weapons in his cellar in downtown Budapest, MTI said. Police seized pistols, modified guns, more than two dozen gun components and gun powder. Hungarian police recently found other weapons stashed in various locations throughout the country.
